About MCCGC

Multicultural Communities Council Gold Coast (MCCGC) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing support services to culturally and linguistically diverse communities in the Gold Coast area for over 40 years. The MCCGC team of 190 staff, fluent in over 45 languages, has assisted clients from more than 43 countries, reflecting MCCGC's commitment to diversity and cultural understanding.

As the peak body and foremost partner for Gold Coast’s multicultural communities, our mission is to collaborate with individuals of all ages and abilities, families, community organisations, local service providers, and businesses to nurture an environment that is not only inclusive but also celebrates the mosaic of diversity within our region.

We offer a range of services:

  • Employment and Training: We empower individuals and facilitate their access to meaningful employment opportunities. We help them with their resumes, cover letters, interview preparation, career planning, and much more.
  • Community Development: Our efforts focus on enhancing the quality of life for CALD individuals and groups through support, information, and advocacy, fostering skills and confidence.
  • Community Pathway Connector: We assist and connect people in need to a range of different community support services. We help them identify the most suitable services for their needs.
  • NDIS Support Coordination: We connect clients with the community and help them find local service providers. We are a service provider with a culturally safe approach and can support our clients in multiple languages.
  • Care Finder: Our program provides seniors one-on-one support to understand the aged care system, access funding and connect with service providers.
  • Humanitarian Settlement Program: Our goal is to empower families granted humanitarian visas with the essential tools and resources needed to rebuild their lives, cultivate connections, and establish a sense of belonging.
  • SETS Program: We support people who arrived as refugees or with an eligible family visa to address their settlement needs to improve social participation, independence, personal wellbeing and community connectedness.

If you’re not sure if we can help you, just ask! We can connect you with support through one of our programs, or a referral to another service provider.
