How do I register as an individual for Pass The Torch 2024??

You can register right here! Once you’ve successfully registered and completed all the steps, you’ll receive a confirmation email to the address provided. If you get stuck, send us an email at info@jirehimpact.org.au – we’ll make sure your registration is processed. If you’re a corporate sponsor,your registration will be handled by us!

How do I register as a team, organisation or firm for Pass The Torch 2024??

Follow this link! When you register, you can choose to enter a team. You can then fundraise together, and compete with other registered Pass The Torch teams..

Can I join an existing team?

Yes – just select the team name from the list when registering. If you’ve registered as an individual and would now like to join a team, email info@jirehimpact.org.au with your name and team name, and we’ll merge you into the chosen team..

How much does it cost to register for Pass The Torch ?

Registration is $50 per participants. 

What does my registration include ?

Your registration fee includes coverage for administrative and platform costs, event organization expenses, a commemorative bandana, breakfast and a finishing medal.

Can my employer or organisation pay for my registration fee ?

Yes, employers or organisations can register as team captains, and pay the registration fee for their team members. You can register as part of a team without payment, then your team captain can pay your registration fee.

Registration is free for sponsors so your company might want to be a sponsor or member! Email info@jirehimpact.org.au to find out more. 

Why do you need my address for the registration ?

As the Birch Foundation is a registered Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) charity organization, we will issue a receipt for tax deduction purposes. Your address is required for this receipt. Please provide your current mailing address to ensure accurate processing of your tax documentation.

Event details

When and where is Pass The Torch 2024?

Pass The Torch 2024 is a relay event scheduled for Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Surf City (Presence Church) Surfers Paradise. The program begins with a welcome ceremony at 7:00 AM when the first team starts. Each team will walk or run a 1km segment before passing the torch to the next group. While participants are welcome to continue beyond the 1km mark, the official handover point is set at the 1km distance.

What time does the event finish?

The formalities will conclude at approximately 8 AM at Surf City (Presence Church), Surfers Paradise, along with the prize presentation. The event is expected to wrap up around 9 AM

How long is the walk in PTT 2024?

The relay route spans 5km, beginning at Surf City (Presemce Church), 3046 Surfers Paradise Blvd, Surfers Paradise QLD 4217 Eileen Peters Park, 5 Esplanade, Surfers Paradise QLD 

Participants have two options after completing their 1km segment: wait at the end point ( Presence Church ) or continue alongside other teams. Regardless of your choice, the official torch handover occurs at the 1km mark for each team.

Can I bring my friends to the walk?

How can I fundraise for the event?

We've prepared a fundraising guide packed full of our recommended strategies, and ideas for activities. Start by telling your family and friends about the event, and ask them to donate by sponsoring your walk. All donations will go towards your individual or team totals.
Is Pass The Torch a registered charity with deductible gift recipient (DGR) status?

Pass The Torch is the trademark fundraising event co-organized by Birch Foundation and Jireh Impact Foundation. Both foundations are registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC), with Birch Foundation holding Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status.
Where do the funds from Pass The Torch go?

As a beneficiary of the Passing The Torch Fundraising, the Birch Foundation will utilize the funds to further its mission of providing vital support and resources to those in need, fostering resilience and creating a brighter future for the community.
